Can We Focus on The Season Now?

I hope so, but I'm not optimistic.

I honestly might mute the first 20-30 games when A-rod comes to bat, just so I don't have to listen to color commentators go over this mess time and time again.

I get that this A-Rod mess is important and a big deal, and part of me wants it to stay a headline so the pressure stays on to get the other 103 names released. Still it'd be much more fun to just focus on baseball and let this all fade away.

Normally this is the time of the year where paying close attention to baseball helps me forget that it will still be winter outside for another month and a half. That hasn't really worked out for me the past couple of seasons.

Hi Dman,

Always great to see you post. I agree the A-Rod thing will be a circus this spring. If he is caught lying again, it will be worse or he will be suspended. I do feel bad for Jeter who has to compare his numbers to A-Rod without the benefit of PEDs. The Yanks better start out strong or the Bronx Zoo will return.

Yankees Fan in Boston,

Yankees fan in North Adams here. Did you get your relocation plan yet? We did and are extremely disappointed. We used to have Saturday games in Section 2 behind home plate. They pushed us out of there an offered us 12 weekday games in seats behind the left field foul. We're likely to decline. Hope you made out better than we did!

Isn't it fun dealing with all the Sox fans? I lived my first 18 years of my life in New Hampshire; I've had to put up with them too. Now, I go to college at Quinnipiac which is probably 60% Yankee fans.

I hate the A-Rod "circus" as well. I just want a normal offseason.

Great post, Lenny....but watch out for those disguised Red Sox fans in the Nutmeg state.

The season's almost here. So far, this spring hasn't been that bad as far as distractions. I know there's an Arod story everyday, but he's not even in camp. But we're about 2 weeks away now. I can't wait.

Totally get what you feel, but let's keep faith in him. Let the swings talk!
